  1. Registration & Payment
    • How do I register for the conference?   Visit www.wisit2026.sched.com to register. You may register a group by selecting the number of tickets you need and requesting an invoice. Tickets can then be transferred to the individual participants via their emails. 
    • What forms of payment do you accept? We accept payment by invoice or credit card through the Stripe Platform. For international wiring information, please contact Elise Stephenson ([email protected])
    • Do you offer group or early-bird discounts? Yes, groups of 3 or more registering before May 1st qualify for our Early Bird Discount of $1250 for the week. 
    • Can I get a refund if my plans change? We can issue refunds up until June 30th. After that, no refunds will be issued but we can transfer your ticket to someone else. 
  2. Conference Logistics
    • Where and when does the event take place?  This year's WISIT will take place at the Washington International School Tregaron Campus - 3100 Macomb St NW, Washington, DC 20012
    • Will there be a conference app or schedule I can download? Yes, all conference materials including schedules, course descriptions, and feedback forms will be available through the sched.com platform. At the Empower Conference, we commit to creating a space where all participants feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn together. We engage with curiosity, listen to understand, and honor the diverse identities and experiences in our community. We welcome brave and respectful dialogue, recognizing that growth sometimes involves discomfort, and we take responsibility for both our intentions and our impact. We protect confidentiality, make space for all voices, and approach our shared learning with openness, empathy, and joy—knowing that together, we can build understanding and strengthen the communities we serve.
    • Is there a recommended dress code?  
    • Are meals or refreshments included with my ticket?  Yes, we will provide breakfast and lunch on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Participants will be on their own for lunch on Wednesday, our annual Day at the Museums, but we will provide a list of recommendations. 
  3. Travel & Accommodation
    • Are there special hotel rates for attendees?  No, but we recommend the Glover Park Hotel for a close hotel to campus. 
    • Is parking available on-site? Yes. Additional overflow parking is also available at the Maret School campus. A shuttle bus will provide pick up from Maret at 8:00am and 8:15am as well as drop off at 4:00pm. 
  4. Accessibility & Special Needs
    • Is the venue accessible to wheelchairs or those with mobility issues?  Yes, please email Grace Davin at [email protected] about any accessibility needs so we can accommodate them. 
    • Can I request special dietary accommodations?  Yes, we will accommodate kosher, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free. 
    • Who should I contact for any additional accommodation requests?  Additional accommodations requests can be sent to Grace Davin at [email protected]
  5. Networking & Sessions
    • How do I schedule or sign up for specific sessions? We will send you a message when it's time to register for sessions. They will be available on the wisit2026.sched.com platform. 
    • Is there a networking lounge or reception? Yes, we will host a special reception on Thursday, August 6th from 4:00-5:30 on the Stephenson Terrace on campus. 
    • Will I have access to session recordings or presentation slides afterward?  Recordings will not be permitted, but slides and hand outs will posted as part of the specific course information no later than Monday, August 16, 2026.

Venue & Logistics
  1. Location & Directions
    • Where is the venue located? 3100 Macomb St NW, Washington, DC 20012
    • How do I get there by public transportation?  We are a short walk from the Cleveland Park Metro stop on the Red Line. You may also check the WMATA website for bus routes information or consider using rideshare like Uber or Lyft. 
    • Is parking available and is it free or paid? Free Parking is available
  2. Venue Amenities
    • Is free Wi-Fi available? Yes. The network WISGuest is open to all, without a password. 
    • Are there on-site dining options or nearby restaurants? Yes, there will be dining on site Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. If you prefer, there are a number of close restaurants just a short walk down to Connecticut Avenue.
