About me
Sher Anderson Petty is an innovative & reflective teacher-leader with 20+ years experience fostering the development & growth of learning communities, facilitating professional development, and writing curriculum. In K-12 education, she has crafted curriculum for and taught AP and IB courses in English & Humanities, grades 7-12. In teacher education, she has crafted and taught various professional development courses centering antiracism, Harvard Project Zero ideas, and museum resources. When she is not practicing being a student of her students, Sher may be found hiking along the C&O Canal or fishing with her husband Joel & son Elijah; to be factual she’s not actually fishing but she is present and usually reading a good book when the fishing occurs.
