About me
Kathryn Gillon is a pre-K teacher at Briya Public Charter School in the Petworth neighborhood of Washington, DC. Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, she studied history at American University and began her career in education as an assistant pre-K teacher with DC Public Schools. Kathryn enjoys working with children using emergent curriculum and project-based learning, and she is excited to explore ways to empower young children to be helpful and thoughtful members of their community. Outside of the classroom (but also inside the classroom), Kathryn is passionate about cat welfare :)
