About me
Kate Powell is a third-grade teacher at Maret and a lifelong learner. Over the past 20 years, she has taught second, third, and fourth grades in New York City, Washington, D.C., and London.Kate was first introduced to Project Zero (PZ) at the Harvard Summer Institute and has since focused on integrating PZ thinking routines to foster a "culture of thinking" in her classroom. Before returning to Washington, D.C., in 2022, she earned her M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology. She is excited to serve as a Fellow at WISIT this summer, where she will support a learning group.
