About me
Jere Lorenzen teaches pre-kindergarten at School-Within-School @ Goding, a Reggio Emilia-inspired public school in Washington, DC. He serves as an online learning coach for Project Zero’s (PZ) Making Learning Visible and Let’s Play courses, participated as a research associate in PZ’s Global Children project led by Veronica Boix Mansilla, and was co-leader of the Children Are Citizens project originated by Ben Mardell and Mara Krechevsky. He has facilitated adult learning at the Project Zero Classroom; WISSIT; the PZ Perspectives: Learning Together, Leading Together conference; the Progressive Education Summit; and the NAEYC Annual Conference. In 2011, Jere was named DC Public Schools’ New Teacher of the Year and he received the Rubenstein Award for Highly Effective Teaching. Jere received his master’s degree in School Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and graduated summa cum laude from The Catholic University of America with a B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education.
