About me
Jacquelyn Lonon is a dedicated educator with a strong background in Reading Specialization and a passion for integrating movement and dance into literacy instruction. Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, she is a proud product of Prince George’s County Public Schools. She earned her B.A. in Elementary Education from Coppin State University and later obtained her M.A. in Reading Specialization from Loyola University Maryland. With 14 years of teaching experience in both Baltimore City public schools and D.C. private schools, she has taught students from first through eighth grade. Her philosophy centers on the belief that every child is a scholar capable of success when given effective support and strategies. As reflective practitioner, she currently serves as a Reading Coach at Elsie Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom PCS, where she is committed to supporting teachers in elevating instruction and helping all scholars realize their full potential through inclusive, engaging, and differentiated learning experiences.
