About me
Foun Tang is currently an elementary school teacher at Georgetown Day School in Washington, DC. She has been working as an educator for over 20 years in international schools in Hong Kong and Japan, as well as in independent schools in the DC area. Since attending the Project Zero Classroom summer institute at Harvard and serving as a fellow, she has been finding different ways to use PZ thinking routines and systems thinking to help her students unpack complexity and understand concepts. Foun is particularly interested in using thinking routines that can help teach social studies and promote social justice. She has co-presented workshops at Project Zero Perspectives conferences in Atlanta and Amsterdam and has served as a learning group co-leader at WISSIT. Originally from Edinburgh, Foun enjoys entertaining people with a fake Scottish accent.
