About me
Emma Golden is an international educator who grew up in the US and recieved her BA in History and Sociology from Williams College before moving to London. After completing her teacher training, her first eight years in the classroom focused on teaching History in middle and high school and she also undertook a MA in Education at UCL. Emma then moved China where she taught in international schools for seven years and moved into the IBDP context. She has recently moved back to the US with her husband and two cats, and currently teaches Psychology and History at Washington International School. Emma enjoys coaching basketball, playing the piano, practicing Spanish and Mandarin and being active out in nature. Her first experience of WISIT last summer inspired her to sign up as a Fellow this year to support a learning group, as she is energised by exploring new ideas with others and continuing to grow as an educator.
