About me
Emily Mendonca is a Museum Educator for Art Around the Corner, a partnership program with DC Public Schools at The National Gallery of Art. In this role she manages logistics, develops curriculum, and aims to infuse the power of joy into teaching and learning at all levels. She earned a BA in Art History from Gettysburg College and an MA in Art History from George Washington University, and is a past participant of the Project Zero Classroom summer institute at Harvard. Outside of the gallery, she likes to experiment with watercolor, read mysteries, and explore hidden gems in her home state of Maryland. At WISIT, she will lead a Museum Day course.
