About me
Dena works as a museum educator for the National Gallery of Art where she coordinates out-of-school programs for families. In this capacity, she enjoys helping families feel more connected to creativity and to the process of art making. She received the biggest resume boost after the birth of her two children, perhaps the greatest “ah hah” moment of her career. Seeing the world through their eyes has been an opportunity to reinvest in ways that accessibility and inclusion show up in museum and cultural spaces. Dena received her M.A. in Art History from the George Washington University where she worked a teaching assistant.
