About me
Carla White Freyvogel is an educator with more than 25 years of experience teaching in museums, including the National Building Museum, National Portrait Gallery, National Gallery of Art, Phillips Collection, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She engages audiences of all ages with an interactive approach that integrates movement, writing exercises, sensory games, collaboration, and a healthy dose of humor. As a Phillips Educator, Carla designs and gives tours for all museum audiences. She also writes for The Experiment Station, the blog of The Phillips Collection. Her writings explore the intersection of visual art and popular culture, as well as the influence of that relationship to teaching in a museum. Carla enthusiastically embraces a life of health, wellness, and fitness. She enjoys spending time with her family, writing, cooking, and being active outdoors.
