About me
Anna (she/her) is the Senior Manager for Education at the Lillian and Albert Small Capital Jewish Museum. A former public high school teacher and always a history buff, Anna prioritizes empathy, justice, and open inquiry in her educational practice. She has been developing and leading field trips, family and educator programs, and online curricula for the Museum since it opened in 2023, and has represented CJM at the National Council for the Social Studies, WISIT, the DC History Conference, and more. Anna is also a Kehillot fellow with M2, the Institute for Experiential Jewish Learning, blending traditional pedogagy with Jewish wisdom to encourage community connection and values based learning. She holds a BA in History and a Masters of Teaching, both from the University of Virginia. Anna lives in Southeast DC with her fiancee, their dog Pepper, and the latest addition to the family, Augie the kitten.
