About me
Adrienne (Addie) L. Gayoso (she/her), Ohio native, has been a museum educator in Washington, D.C., since 2004. As the senior educator at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA), she develops programs for school, teacher, and multigenerational audiences as well as interpretive resources for online and on-site visitors. She is especially proud of developing NMWA’s popular blog series “5 Fast Facts”, writing three essays published in National Museum of Women in the Arts: Collection Highlights (2023), and co-creating yearlong school partnership with Brent Elementary School. Addie is a trainer fellow for Visual Thinking Strategies, moderator for the New York Times column “What’s Going On in This Picture?”, and recipient of the 2025 Community Partner Award for her work with students and faculty at the University of the District of Columbia. Addie earned an M.A. in Arts Administration, with an emphasis in Art History, from Indiana University, Bloomington.
